a day at Jackson Hole

My Mom took me and Moo out for a day at Jackson Hole. It was a beautiful drive seeing all the leaves changing color in the canyons. We had lunch with our friend Leesa to oh-so-deliciouso chinese. Then Mom and I wandered the streets and shops and art galleries of downtown. Moo was a good boy and only screamed the whole time for some kind of "treat", people! He only threw his sippy once at a few people walking by a very large window, so our time was somewhat cut short at that store. Thanks Moo. We got our pictures by the infamous antler arch, nearly getting sqwashed in the process.

My Mom looked so pretty that day (every day, really) and I kept telling her so. I made her hold still a minute so I could take her photo. She'll kill me, but I put it on here too.
We were driving home and saw a car stopped on the side of the road, an old man standing to the back of his car. 'Oh, please, no... don't let us see what he's doing,' we thought. But, thankfully, he was only stopped and out to take a p.... icture of the beautiful rising full moon. So we stopped and got one too. Thanks for a great day My Mom!

Off to see the pigs!

All morning long I got Titan to do things and get ready 'cause we're off to see the pigs!! What can I say, I'm a good momma and came through on my bribing. He was such a great boy all day long. We walked through all the art exhibits, animal pens, and carnival rides and he didn't get out once. (Ok, once, but that's later.) I thought these little piglets must be getting a little big for mother's milk, but they've got to show off something at the fair, right? What a good mother pig.

Yes, real live sea lions. Doing the Conga line no less. Good thing I went all the way to California two weeks ago to show Titan real live sea lions... who knew they'd come to us?

I thought the big cows were cool, but what do you say Titan's thinking?

Not impressed with the animals one bit. Nor his momma. UNTIL....

UNTIL...
What could it be?

a WHOOO WHOOO!

Titan loves, Loves, LOVES trains.

When we finally found the train depot, the conductor was napping under a tree. I asked if he was still taking rides so he jumped up and took just me and Moo on our very own train ride. He turned out to be a very pleasant fellow. After our train ride Titan took he mama to get her favorite caramel apple that she waits for all year. We had a really great time at the Utah State Fair, thanks for the memories Moo!

Presenting the Birthday Cake!

I made Titan's birthday cake with my new favorite chocolate frosting (thanks Himay!). He liked the treats on top :) He's such a sweet boy. We lit the candles about five times 'cause he liked to blow them out. Next, came the presents. I'm such a practical Momma. No fun. No "toys". Just useful items only, please. He liked all his presents. Especially the camping chair from Gamma. Okay, and the ball and glove. And the winterized beanie. And the work gloves to "Heeyah! Heeyah! One PIG" with Gampa. Hmm, yep, he liked it all. :)

Happy Birthday!

My baby is 2 now. How sad. But happy, I guess, 'cause he's getting bigger. And to make matters of getting bigger worse, we gave him his very first haircut. Not just big boy haircut. First haircut. Ever... It was a low blow to a Momma who's only baby is not really a baby any more... He's still cute. Now he's his own cute, instead of just his Momma's cute. Sigh.
